Data Deletion Instructions
Your privacy and data control matter to us
At G'Threads, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from our service and what happens during the deletion process.
How to Request Data Deletion
Method 1: Delete Your Account (Recommended)
The easiest way to delete all your data is to delete your G'Threads account directly from the application:
- Log in to your G'Threads account
- Go to Dashboard → Settings
- Scroll to the "Danger Zone" section
- Click "Delete Account"
- Type
DELETEto confirm - Click the final confirmation button
This will immediately delete: Your account, all connected Threads accounts, scheduled posts, saved captions, and all associated data.
Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access your account, you can request data deletion by email:
Send an email to contact@gthreads.app with the subject line: "Data Deletion Request - G'Threads"
Include in your email:
- The email address associated with your G'Threads account
- Your Threads username(s) if you remember them
- Any additional information to help us identify your account
Method 3: Meta/Facebook Data Deletion
If you connected your Threads account to G'Threads and want to delete that connection through Meta/Facebook:
- Go to your Facebook Settings
- Navigate to Apps and Websites
- Find G'Threads in the list
- Click Remove and select "Delete your information from G'Threads"
Note: This will trigger an automatic deletion request to our system, and we will remove all data associated with your Threads account within 30 days.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will permanently remove the following information from our systems:
Account Information
- • Email address
- • Account credentials
- • Profile settings
Threads Data
- • Connected Threads accounts
- • Access tokens
- • Threads usernames & IDs
Content
- • All scheduled posts
- • Saved captions
- • Post drafts
Media
- • Uploaded images
- • Image metadata
- • Media references
Important: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We cannot recover your data after deletion is complete.
Deletion Timeline
Immediate Action
Your account is deactivated immediately, and you can no longer log in.
Processing
We process your deletion request and begin removing your data from our active systems.
Complete Deletion
All your data is permanently deleted from our systems, including backups. This process is completed within 30 days maximum.
Legal Compliance
Our data deletion process complies with:
GDPR (Europe)
We comply with the "Right to be Forgotten" under Article 17 of the GDPR.
CCPA (California)
We honor deletion requests under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Meta Platform Policy
We comply with Meta's Data Deletion Request Callback requirements.
Threads API Terms
We follow Meta's Threads API data retention and deletion policies.
